This is a great auto reverse Akai reel to reel tape deck.It has 6 Crystal Ferrite heads, dual capstan drive and three motors.It is good functional condition (everything works) and it is very reliable.

Here are two of the very difficult to find Matsushita Japan type of 6146, the S2001A. They are used but test good, one reads at 80 and the other at 55 on our Hickok USM118B, where 50 is minimum good.

 

Powers on and all channels work (front left is distorted I think something just needs cleaning). Meters light up and react as they should. Spindle next to tape heads spins up strong and tape lift butt
