This is a brass Auto-Lite Carbide Mining Lamp, produced by the Universal Lamp Company. Auto-Lite carbide mining lamps were produced from 1913 through 1960, most following the design Jacob Sherman pate

 

Early to mid 1900's Miners Lamp in used condition. It stands 9 inches tall wiith a 4 inch hook. I thought about polishing it up but it has a wonderful patina and I did not want to ruin that.
