This was used at Michigan, most likely in a biology class. The leather case is rather "crispy" from age but the instruments seem to be in good repair. Stamped Max Wocher & Son, Cincinnati, O.

 

Hard to find Griswold Mortar, no pestle. Base rim is marked Griswold Co. Erie Pa The exterior has old red paint and a niceembossed pattern. Interior has wear and rust.The bottom is marked 1Q.5" tall 5

 

I couldn't find a makers mark so maybe it was on a piece that is missing. I am not sure if it was repainted black at one time as this is how I found it. The lens on top and mirror are in fine conditio
