Antique/vintage silk velvet fabric. Late 20s/30 era, very very buttery soft with fine light drape to it, and is slightly sheer when held to the light. Likely dressmaking fabric, this type of silk back

 

These antique fabric strips appear to have been salvaged from an old quilt. The have been gently laundered and are in generally good condition, one short strip has a tear. One strip measures 2 yards 1
