This appears to be a vintage Arts & Crafts / Craftsman copper pillar candlestick. The top part has a hammered surface, while the base has a bark-like texture. It is quite heavy - just over 1 lb. -

 

I could not locate any marks on this antique powder compact. It includes the last powder insert of lanolin plus which can be pulled out. Please see pics.
