Up for auction is this antique sailors wooden fid or marlinspike. Used by sailors as a rope splicing tool. Tool is a total of 9-inches long, 1-3/4-inches across at the widest point. Ball is also 1-3/4

 

Very old antique 4 1/2 inch dark amber fish net float. Possibly Japanese but I am not sure as there does not seem to be any makers marks. Comes with a portion of the original netting which is starting

 

This is a real japanese float that I have had for over 50 years. My father found it on the beach in Hawaii around 1958. It is a beautiful aqua marine color. I do not know what the Japanese marking say
