Old primitive oval dough bowl hand carved in Mississippi many years ago. It appears to have been made from one piece of wood. It features a handle on each end, one of which has a small hole carved out

 

It appears to be some sort of horn. It has a brass fitting on one end, and a wood looks like cap on the other. I have not attempted to open it because of the damage as can be seen in pictures 2 and 8

Really a nice primitive piece. It is large measuring 9 1/2 inches tall by 7 inches wide. It is not super dark but definitely looks like it has some age on it. I think it is striking......I noticed it
