Beautiful microscope made in the last quarter of the 19th century in France (see Billings Microscope Collection, pag 80, fig 150). In very good condition, well preserved and housed in a nice mahogany

 

This is a very early double wick lantern made by P. Wall Pittsburgh, has some light surface rust but looks to be very solid. Maybe used in mining ?
