This is a wonderful find. It is a rare CDV of a Union soldier with his rifle. At his left his cap is tipped up to identify his service. The cap has the letters, "NHV", which I take to be the New Hamps

A CDV taken at the PECKOVER STUDIO at PARIS KENTUCKY. There is no writing on the back. The young woman is not identified. Appears to date from the 1860s. The photographer's information is on the back
