Actually, classifying this ias a miniature sampler does an injustice to the rarity of this piece. It is in fact an incredibly finely detailed small purse ... as presented, she measures 6 1/4" x 3 1/4"

 

This is an unfinished embroidery. The stamped linen is marked "Wild Rose" and has the number: 2932-20 No. (35?) The 35 appears to be written in pencil, twice. The piece is not marked Royal Society but
