This interesting tray is 4 1/2" in diameter and sits 1" above the table at it's edge. The center well is 2" X 1/2", perhaps it held a candle? The rim of the tray has engraved flowers and a Chinese sym

 

This is a beautiful glass compote made in the 1920s or 1930s.  It is clear glass and etched with a wreaths and baskets of flowers design.  Gilt accents though a little has worn away from the rim.
